U-50 Miss Wayne 1/8th Scale Allison Engine

Post by Racer »

I have started to build an 1/8th scale Allison for my rather large scale hydroplane.
So far 3D cut is working perfectly. Very pleased. 8)

I completed the roughing out of the block this evening.
This thing came out better than I actually thought it would.
This is the first part I tried a 4 slice model.
Here are a few progress shots.

Here we are all lined up ready to go.

The chips and smoke is flying! :)

Here it is with the Neu and water jacket installed. A perfect fit!
Nice and snug to stay in place on the jacket.

And a final shot in place in the hull.
I think the next step will be to make a motor mount to secure the two motors to the hull sides.
The final finish sanding still needs to be done in these pictures.
