Very nice. Whats the wood and finish? I still haven't had a chance to try them.

I just own V Carve Pro, are these DXF files or Cut3D files? I'm wondering if I can cut on my machine using VCP to convert or just use the program I have with the machine, DeskCNC to convert?? BG

We normally send out STL files which you should be able to import into your software, if you prefer however we can send you a Cut3D V3D file.

Thanks,

you will need a 3d modeling program like cut 3d in order to make the toolpaths, then you would be able to import the toolpaths into v carve.

Hi wmgeorge,
If you check out this thread, you can see how to cut 3D with VCP using VectorArt3D models and their free 3D Machinest program.

http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5041

In order to cut the models from 3D Model Club, you would need to create the toolpaths in Cut3D and import them into VCP. At least, that is how I understand it.

Maybe one of the real wizards has another way. I have several of the 3DMC models but haven't had a chance to cut them yet but folks on here seem to be happy with the ones they have cut.
