First experiments (car and boat)

Post by joao »

Hello all,

Just to share with you a car (kind of Batmobile...) and a boat I drew in 3D and then machined in blue foam with a Spanish Cenece Fr150 CNC.
Long live Cut3D ! :D

Regards from Portugal

Very nice. :D

How many sides did you cut?
How many slices?
How many axis does your machine have?

Thank you,

Both car and boat were sliced (machined just top and bottom):

-two slices for the car.
-four slices for the boat (the boat´s support was made separately). The whole is just "taped" together.
The car was drawn on purpose for machining top and bottom in Cut3D.
The boat was drawn some time ago, so there is a "problem" in the nose part of the boat, as a litle portion of material failed to be removed (the slice itself sould have been machined top and bottom).

It´s a small 3 axis CNC (FR150) made by CENECE in Spain and controlled by Mach3 software.

Regards

João
