How much material does the 'rough' cut leave behind for the 'finish' pass to remove?
Is there a way this is calculated or is it the same regardless of what tools you are using ?
Typically I use 1/4 ball nose for rough and 1/8 for finish pass.
Thank you

Re: Difference between rough & finish material
In the roughing toolpath screen, you dictate the amount left by setting the "Machining Allowance" thickness, under the "Toolpath Parameters" section.
So if you want say .3mm to be left for the finish pass, that's what you type in the field.
