I am curious as to how one could approach creating multiple roughing paths with perhaps 1/2" cutter, 3/8" cutter, 1/4" cutter and finish with 1/8" cutter. Can roughing paths be created for the various tools and not overwrite a previously saved version? My thoughts are to remove the bulk material with the larger cutters that can handle larger step overs deeper cuts.
At this time I only have the trial version and can not save a tool path to test this process.

Yes. You can save a path for each set of parameters though they might be more than enough.
All you want the roughing path to do is clear the rough.
Then the finish path can plow through the leftovers.
Try drawing a section detail full scale using the settings from the dialog box.
