slow feed rate when hogging material

Post by twitchingmuffin »

im not sure if its a setting or what but even when making roughing passes to get down too final pass and the head z axis doesn't go up or down the feed rate acts like it is so it goes the feed rate at final pass for entire project and takes forever

Not sure if this is it, but if you are doing a profile cut and have set it to ramp, the software uses the plunge feedrate until it gets to the bottom of the cut. For a spiral ramp this can take a while.

its hard to explain, for example if my part is small and i have the program set to cut 4" extra around part, the router will hual butt until it goes over where the part is and slow clear down even though it still a couple of passes to go before it reaches it, i would like it to hual butt the whole time until it needs to slow down- if that makes any sense
