carving inside of pot

Post by rlindholm »

Greetings,
I have a 10" dia scanned model of a an old clay pot I need to duplicate. Doing the outside is easy, but I haven't figured out how to do the inside. When I slice the model I get the outline but not the inside. Is this a limitation of the software? Is it even possible or is there another way?

When I do opposing sides like this I have to utilize vectors as a boundary (inside and outside) and machine it seperatly. It requirs some math, which may be difficult to explain but it requires two files, I am not aware of a way to see both sides at once. I hope this helps
