Unable to import DXF file
Unable to import DXF file
I am trying to import a dxf file into Cut 3d version 1.11 and I am getting an error, Error occurred while loading 3d file. I thought Cut 3D could import dxf files. Why am I unable to load the 3D DXF file. I would attach the file but it is too big.

I am having the same issue.... Try the STL file format. in AutoCAD export to "other file types" and select the STL.

As I said in Jim's thread DXF is not a great file format for importing into other programs, there doesn't seem to be any real standard with DXF & it varies from program to program & version to version.
Best thing to do is to experiment & see what file format works best when importing. I nearly always use EPS but then I'm not doing 3d work. I would try other formats such as STL as Jim has suggested. Once you find one that works well then just export from your CAD software in that format.
