I just bought Cut3D and really seriously tried to do something with it today. I opened up a STL and created toolpaths etc with no problem. Then I saved it as a V3D file. I then wanted to load it into VCP and finish laying out the sign I'm making (text, etc.) Is there a way to do this? I don't see any options for importing a V3D file in Vcarve and I can't save the file as anything but a V3d in Cut3D. I wanted to do like I do using Vector Art Machinist. Am I missing something? If not whats the work around? Maybe I'm one of those new and improved idiots I talk about in my signature. Thanx in advance!

VCP is not ready yet to import *.v3d.
There's other way around but you'll need to keep track of position like never before (I assuming here...), are you ready for the red pill?
Blue pill; wait for when VCP can import *.v3d format.
Red pill; I (we) need to know a little more about your project. A few screen shots would be a nice start.

I was just messing around, so I don't have any screenshots. I guess the only option is to figure out where I want the center of the Cut 3D file to be, (example- X2., Y2.) and then just move to those cords on my sign, reset my zeros (or use G55) and cut from there. Glad to know Cut 3D doesn't open V3D files yet, as I thought I was going crazy. I wonder when Brian will make this possible? (Hopefully in the next 12 months!)
Thanx Paco!
