ROTARY MACHINING REQUEST??

Post by echobravo »

Just would like to make a formal request that you guys add the ability to do continous rotary machining with a 4axis rotary indexer.
Please if you do so, eliminate the actual unwrapping cylinder that another cam package uses. I would like to be able to machine very curvy cabriole legs
and in the other cam package it won't let me do so due to putting the unwrapping cylinder right thru the center of my leg. I would like it to work just like your current setup does. Import the 3d model, tell it what size the material is, and tell it to do a rotary maching toolpath. Keep it simple and sweet.
I know if anyone you guys could make it work like it's actually supposed to.
Thanks and please keep me posted if something does develop. Great program

I would also like to see this...the only package out there that will do true continuous 4th axis work is some other software...It would be nice to be able to do this in Cut3D with the option of rastering in the X (along the model) or Y (around the model)

Awesome program! Keep up the great work!

PS - There are more 4th axis/Indexers sitting in their original boxes than installed on machines due to lack of software/CAM...
