Post by frank_hav »

What am I missing? I can make this file cut in 3D Raster mode but not Z level. This the first file I had a problem with.

Hey welcome to the forums Frank. How big is the file? There is a size limit on how big they can be and with 3D stuff now it seems everyone is hitting that limit when they try to upload. Maybe it's time for Tony and Brian to up that limit???

I want to say the limit is 2megs but I could be wrong.
Take it easy.

The file is 3.2 Megs. Maybe I'll have to send it to they by email?

Thanks

Hi Frank,

Thanks for sending us the model files.

The software works on the basis that it machines the complete model and
cannot automatically decide what regions to machine and not machine. If
there's space between the Material dimensions and the outer boundary of
the model then the complete model can be machined using Z level roughing.

I.E. the complete model is machined.

To Z level rough only inside the pocket region requires boundary selection
which is not available.

I hope this makes sense,

Tony
