I just bought some Raptor composite nails and the Omer gun and this works really well to hold stuff in place if you don't have enough vacuum. I don't need to worry about hitting nails because they cut easier than wood.

That's an excellent idea Gerald. I've used 18 gauge, but ever thought of getting the 23 gauge pin nailer out.
Now I'm gonna have to try it. Thanks for the tip!

No problems John, thats what forums are for. They make us look at things we already knew differently. I ran a few router bits thru some 23gauge pins as a test with no visible damage but I still try to place them where I am less likely to go thru them. Bits is expensive! , but then I guess many things about this past time/hobby or business is expensive to a point. I like the fact that the 23gauge pins hold good but still can be pulled out from the backside once the material is pulled from the table and leave the slightest of holes that will generally fill with paint and disaapear if they are within the model.
