Very nice job, Kimon!!
For those of us inempt at 3d, the Machinist program and files are great. I'm working on my second mantel that I will be using the files with, and will more than likely do some of it from VC Pro.
James Booth is great to work with, and was able to get some custom files out in a very short time.
Again, great job.

Sorry Tony missed your first question, The 3d Fleur was carved with a 1/4 inch core box bit - I have some ball nose spirals on order but none available localy.
Here it is Finished, I could have spent a bit more time sanding before finishcoating but kinda like the appearance of a rough cast piece of pewter.
Finish was acheived by using a rattle can aof pewter paint allowing it to dry and then brushing on a darker grey paint and wipeing off the excess with paper towels. Finally a clear acrylic and its ready to hang.

That's a beautiful medallion, Kimon!
I love the rough, antique look.
The right finish can really bring out the soul in a machined piece!
