old log with new face

Post by handcrafted »

I have had this chunk of wood kicking around my shop... literally, every day i have kick it to another place out of my way (guess i could have put it somewhere beside the floor).

Anyways i turned it into a nice piece that i am donating to a silent auction for cancer.

had to remove my table top and make a special jig but it was worth it.

First words that came to my mind was "Thats Bitchen " guess I am showing my age :) The vectric guys need to put this in the "Gallery"

You out did yourself .. maybe we all should all find some wood to kick around.

It should fetch a good price for a good cause.

Thanks for letting use enjoy seeing it .

Nice work. Good eye for matching the subject to the piece of wood.

I never thought a piece of wood could attract so much attention...

I use vcarve everyday and create so many things but never see that they are more than just work (meaning that vcarve is another tool in the shop).

We use the program for designing everything and our machine runs an average of 8 hours a day.

I only spend 30 minute to an hour a night doing my codes.... the payoff is great!
