I carved this tonight out of hard maple (9.5"x13").
16K RPM
1/4" downspiral for the roughing pass at 1.7/1.0 IPS (20 minutes)
1/8" coated ballnose for the finish pass at 3.0/2.0 IPS (47 minutes) with a 10% stepover
The final cutout was an ellipse in Vcarve leaving a 0.04 skin and using 3D tabs

My Z was sightly out of alignment which I point out in one of the photos

I'll be glazing this as part of the finishing process.
