VA3D Collection Panels

Post by AngelicDiablo »

Each panel is 21X24". I used the Shopbot surfacer to true up the panels to make them nice and flat after gluing up and letting dry. They are the "Animal", "Flourish" and new "Dasch" collection which will be coming out soon. Lettering was done with a 60° V and all dishes were done in a single pass with a 1/8" BN. They were stained and then sealed with several coats of a semi-gloss spar urithane. The several coats of spar really give it that added protection incase you might knock one of them over. Hope you like them. -AD

The panels look great, AD!
I posted a copy of the Dasch Fun Cuts panel at the Silo User's Forums to show the gang what my sculptures look like when carved. The panel is receiving some good comments, and compliments.

All three panels look superb.

I sure do love seeing my designs carved - THANKS!

Oscar, great work on these and all the other parts too, thanks! A number of these pieces Oscar has been cutting will be at the IWF trade show in Atlanta in August along with a load of other samples in our booth (4160 I think?)

The files for these panels were put together using VA3D Machinist to create the toolpath for the dished parts and VCP for the layout and text. This is a good way for us to show some of the contents of the collections. I also thought this would be a neat way to create a sample panel for customers who have one of our collections to show their potential clients the type of things they can carve for them (with different text). So in the near future I will make the files available to anyone who owns one of our collections. I'll post again when I have more info on it.

Cheers,
James
